Installing Windows 7 On pentium 4 3.0Ghz
Computer August 24th, 2009One of my friend asked me if he would able to run Windows 7 on his Old PC with Pentium IV 3.0 Ghz Processor, and 1 GB RAM, in deed this kind of PC specification met with Official Minimum requirement for running Windows 7, but i suggest him to put 1 GB ram more… when we did try to install Windows 7 RC on his system, Starting were very slow until we got Welcome screen to choose keyboard layout. i was very sure there is something is not right. so i googled and finally i found out that Windows 7 installation trying to find Floppy drive which actually does not exist
so workaround was Boot the PC to Bios setup and disable Floppy drive option and Voila!!! Installation run fast.. it was 28Minutes…
